NatCon21 Continuing Education Credits

NatCon21 is approved to offer continuing education (CE) and continuing medical education (CME) credits for approved presentations through multiple professional associations.

To receive credits for approved educational sessions at NatCon21, attendees must be present for the full length of any live-streamed or on-demand presentations. Attendees must also complete an evaluation form in the NatCon21 Evaluation Portal for the presentation online by June 30, 2021. CE credits are awarded on a presentation-by-presentation basis with full attendance required for each presentation. See the latest list of accredited sessions.

Educational Purpose

The educational purpose of NatCon21 is to offer professionals and practitioners the chance to enhance their knowledge in mental health and addiction treatment and services, strengthen their skill sets, share best practices with peers, and implement new strategies, research and trends in their practice.  

Conference Learning Objectives

Through our robust learning program, and together with our thought leaders, we seek to:
  • Promote the development of innovative and responsive services in community-based settings.
  • Improve the overall quality of services delivered and increase the competencies of clinicians.
  • Assist organizations and practitioners with the vision, knowledge and skills needed to shape new and emerging mental health and addiction systems, as well as support our mission.
  • Address the continuing education needs of our attendees and provide solutions to meet goals that ultimately create healthier lives for the consumers we serve.
National CE and CME Credits

The National Council has submitted for various CE and CME credits and will be offering credit through the following associations: *Attendees will only be allowed to receive NAADAC and NBCC credit for attending approved presentations during their scheduled day and time.

State-specific CE Credits
  • New York State Education Department, Office of the Professions, Division of Professional Licensing Services, Social Work Unit – 80 Contact Hours
  • New York State Education Department, Office of the Professions, State Board for Mental Health Practitioners, Mental Health Counselors (MHC) – 80 Credits
  • New York State Education Department, Office of the Professions, State Board for Mental Health Practitioners: Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTs) – 80 Credits
*Continuing education requirements vary from state to state. Many state boards grant reciprocity with national accrediting organizations and other state boards. It is the responsibility of each professional to understand the requirements for license renewal or check with the state or national licensing board and/or professional organization to become more familiar with their policies for acceptable continuing education credit. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval.

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)

The National Council for Behavioral Health is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP®. This program is valid for 19.5 PDCs for the SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP®. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit www.shrmcertification.org.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (PRA)

The National Council for Behavioral Health, provider #4906480, is approved by Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (PRA) to provide continuing education to Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioners (CPRPs) and CPRP candidates. The National Council maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

Compliance Certification Board (CCB)

The Compliance Certification Board (CCB)® has approved this event for up to 66.6 non- live CCB CEUs based on a 50-minute hour. Continuing Education Units are awarded based on individual attendance records. Granting of prior approval in no way constitutes endorsement by CCB of this event content or of the event sponsor.

National Association of Social Workers (NASW)

This program is Approved by the National Association of Social Workers (Approval # 886760166-8790) for 51 continuing education contact hours.

Relias Learning, LLC, in collaboration with the National Council is co-sponsoring/co-providing the following continuing education credits:


Physicians: In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Relias LLC and National Council for Behavioral Health. Relias LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Nursing:
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Relias LLC and National Council for Behavioral Health. Relias LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Psychologists: As a Jointly Accredited organization, Relias LLC is approved to offer co-sponsored psychology continuing education by the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA is an associate member of Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.

Marriage and Family Therapists (NY): Relias, LLC, is recognized by New York State Education Department's State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists. #MFT-0009

Social Workers (NY): Relias, LLC is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0009.

Professional Counselors (NY): Relias, LLC, is recognized by New York State Education Department's State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed mental health counselors. #MHC-0011
